Financial Services Representative and Investment Adviser Representative
Wesley began building his practice in 1988. His work initially focused on employee benefit plans and wealth management. His main driver is helping clients envision a great future, assessing current resources, and building strategies to accomplish their dreams. He founded and licensed Financial Works, LLC, a financial services agency, dedicated to helping businesses and families become financially successful.
He is a man of faith, serving in numerous children’s programs and as deacon at Columbus First Baptist Church. He has volunteered in mission projects in multiple Mississippi localities; Kunming, China; Haiti; Ecuador; Belize; Guyana; and Brazil. He is a board member and past president of the Columbus Rotary Club.
Wesley is married to Dianne Platt, who is a nursing director. They have three adult children. His hobbies include outdoor activities, gardening, and flying. He attained the Competent Toastmaster Award while a member of the Possum Town Toastmasters. Wesley enjoys helping humanity and traveling.
He has been in the insurance and investment industry since 1988. Industry education includes the completion of the RICP (Retirement Income Certified Professional), LUTCF designation (Life Underwriting Training Counsel Fellow), and FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses (through Commonwealth Financial Network®). Wesley has taught numerous industry courses. As a member of the 5 County Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, he has served terms as president and education chairman, as well as served on the board.
